This notice explains how Marc Porter, trading as M Porter Groundwork & Construction, uses personal information supplied through this website and in connection with residential work.
Information you provide
We collect the details you choose to give us, including your name, phone number, email address, project location, service requirements, preferred timing and messages. Review and discount forms also record your feedback or request and the permissions you give. A contractor adding a completed customer must confirm the customer has agreed to the relevant messages.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details to respond to your request, discuss a quote and take steps towards work you ask us to provide. If you become a customer, we use the information to arrange and manage the work. We also keep appropriate business records, deal with questions or disputes and meet legal obligations. These uses rely on steps towards or performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in managing the business, or a legal obligation, as applicable.
Messages and your choices
The enquiry forms separate permission for service texts from optional marketing permission. Marketing messages, including return-customer and referral offers, are sent where you have agreed to them. You can withdraw that permission by replying STOP or contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing or prevent you from asking about our services. Message frequency varies and normal message or data charges may apply.
We do not sell your information or share mobile information or consent with third parties for their own marketing.
Service providers
GroundWork OS and the HighLevel/LeadConnector website, customer-management and communication services help store enquiries and manage communication on our behalf. Hosting and communications providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, device information and delivery records. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it. Where a provider processes information outside the UK, appropriate transfer safeguards are required.
Website functions and maps
The website uses essential functions to display pages and operate forms. The service-area map is displayed with Leaflet and OpenStreetMap map tiles. The Leaflet delivery service and OpenStreetMap may receive technical information, such as your IP address, needed to display it. We have not added advertising pixels to these pages. External links lead to services with their own privacy information.
How long information is kept
We keep information for the purposes described here and for as long as relevant business or legal requirements justify it. The appropriate period depends on the enquiry, work, accounting requirements and any unresolved issue. We retain an appropriate record of an opt-out so it can be respected.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your personal information, and you may object to certain uses.
